In plain terms

  • Free: use Dotnote personally, or inside your own company, including modifying it for those purposes.
  • Free: redistribute it free of charge for non-commercial purposes, keeping the license and copyright notices and marking your changes.
  • Not permitted without a commercial license: offering Dotnote (or a product built mainly on it) to third parties commercially — hosted or managed offerings, white-labeling, resale, or paid deployment services for others.
  • The Dotnote name and logo are trademarks of Strum Technology Corp and are not licensed for your product or service.
  • Your notes and content are yours. The license covers the software, not your content.
